Recorded during a week in June 2005. Displaced, Pain, Obsessions,
Faded, Untitled, Wound, Anomaly. A 'stripped' version was released
where the songs Obessions and Wound were cut, this to give
the demo a more consistent feel as these songs were newer and sound a
bit cleaner in song structure. Mixed primarily by August L, under
supervision from the band. Cover art by Niklas O.
Your
touch
On my pale skin
Your gaze
At me sends me
To where I want to be
Displaced from sin and pure pain
Until
our fate is sealed
In the hours of dawn,
Despite the ironies of love
You'll find me here, waiting for more
My
eyes's are
Failing
To see
The pleassure in you
When you leave me
Displaced from all that you are
Until
our fate is sealed
In the hours of dawn,
Despite the ironies of love
You'll find me here, waiting for you
Alternative/working title(s): 'B' and 'New B'. Somewhat related to the song called 'old B' as the chorus of that song was intended to be used in Displaced, however, those ideas were scrapped and the song turned into a song entirely of its own. Written in 2003, among the first songs the band finished totally.
Broken
words I say
Destroy you again
And all there'll be
Is hurt
I'll leave you to
die...
To
see
To want
To feel
The need
To feed
The hate
And medicate
Everything in
Me...
Broken
I will
Take Everything away
And all there'll be
Is pain
You'll leave me to
die...
To
see
To want
To feel
The need
To feed
The hate
And medicate
Everything in
You...
Alternative/working title(s): 'Grogg' (drink) and 'Vodka'. Previously one of the band's faster songs, but as the song grew it slowed down. The early versions had an extended intro. Also marks the entry of a bassplayer as the beginning of the outro is played solely by bass. Has not recieved any significant changes since it was finished in mid 2003.
Whenever
I'm near to you
There's a part of me that lives to follow your will
Whenever you're near to me
There's a part of me that wants you to leave
This place you've made for me is forever of tears
It's too much for anyone to ever bear
I'll bury your pain inside of me
A promise I'll keep
Whenever
you're near to me
There's a part of me that lives to die
When I opened your hands to find
The secrets you hold, only hate remained
This place you've made for me is forever of tears
It's too much for anyone to ever bear
I'll bury your pain inside of me
A promise I'll keep
(Our souls to die)
[Whenever
we're souls apart
There's a wound in us that never heals]
Your soul is mine, you're always mine
Your love is mine, you're always mine
[This
place you've made for me is forever of tears
It's too much for anyone to ever bear
I'll bury your pain inside of me
A promise I'll keep, to your death...]
Alternative/working title(s): Purk (cranky). Written in late 2004. Intended as a duet between man and woman. The version featured on the demo, however, only has the male vocals.
The
ruin of some
In my hands trembling
My mind's limitless
Concepts of death
They're tailored by you
For me to leave this hateful place
Faded
into only memories of pain
What you once entombed now will remain
Freed alone
The
cruel inside
In the depth of sadness
There's a reason for everything
In me and in you
Your's was making me leave
This hateful being I was born into
Faded
into only memories of pain
What you once entombed now will remain
Faded
into only memories of pain
Faded into only remnants of me
But what you once entombed now will remain
Freed alone
Alternative/working title(s): 'Vin' (wine), 'Belletine' and 'Days of Pain'. The first song the band finished for its current demo. Written in late 2002. Originally ended with the intro riff, but the band settled for the current ending where the acoustic guitar plays the chorus chords. Lyrically the song has changed several times, prior to the demo recording in 2004 the song received a complete lyrical overhaul because of general dissatisfaction. The meaning of the song, however, has not changed significantly.
Tell
me, trusted someone
Something I'll value in grief
One dusty evening in my
Dead garden of love
The
shame of failing again
To escape to where I belong
On my knees...
Show
me eternal love
When you've left me bleeding
Impaled on my idea
Of eternities with you
Dying
so slowly inside myself
Calling for you to appear
In...
My
dominion of filth (I begged for)
My existence of loss (I mourned for)
The scar that I cannot hide
Inside without you
My
dominion of filth (I begged for)
My existence of loss (I mourned for)
My dominion of grief (that gave me)
The scar that I cannot hide
Inside without you
Alternative/working title(s): 'Öl' (beer). The last song for the first era to be finished. One of the heaviest songs the band has made to date. Also one of the more complicated as it features several weird time signatures and changes as well as a complicated structure with breaks and shifts. Written in mid 2003 to early 2004. Once it was finished it recieved only few changes prior to the demo recording.
You
and I
The pawns like treasures
Moving truths
Of indecision
Time
for time
Again coming to pass
Standing still
With determination
Know I'll always remember you
With
time spent waiting breathless
Longing gracefully to die entwined
With only fears in our minds
For longing we will pay with grief
We'll never arrive at all
Distance tears into our empty fate
'You know I love you'
You
and I
The torn and silent
Hidden paths
Of love in motion
Wounds
for wounds
Aching hearts come falling down
Empty still
Forbidden tempation
Know I'll always love you
With
time spent waiting breathless
Longing gracefully to die entwined
With only fears in our minds
For longing we will pay with grief
We'll never arrive at all
Distance tears into our empty fate
This
love we would never have
Lies buried in our hearts
We will crave
For what we could never have
And in our simple dreams
We will crave...
The
wound that will never heal
The wound that will never heal
The wound that will never heal
My heart will never heal...
Alternative/working title(s): Veva (to spin). Song written in the fall of 2004. Taps into a more melancholic and poppy sound present in most newer songs.
These
eternal wounds
Of the secret garden
My vial of tears
In the hand of grief
Solemn
tranquillity
Within her gaze of mystery
Quiet whispers
Fade to winter
Violence
This
buried heart
Cast in a case obscured
Within my every thought
From a lover's vacant tomb
Morose
tranquillity
Inside the maze of mystery
Disintergrate
My soul, my whole
Into darkness
Awakened
from rest
With the mark on the wrist
The bruise of the chain
From the garden of shame
For
always and ever
To midnight nightmares
Through the sight
Through the heart
Alternative/working title(s): 'A', 'Makaron' and 'Makaron in A'. Originally a faster song but as the verse was built the song slowed down. Written in the fall of 2002 to the summer of 2003. Last riff in was the outro. Minor finishing touches were made during the demo recording in 2004, when the rhythmic part prior to the outro riff was changed into a more harmonic but less rhythmic style. Considered the flagship of all songs, always played last at gigs.
